Sammy Randle III is a 2023 graduate of Dr. Earl J. Lennard High School in Ruskin, Florida.
During his time there, he served as Class Council President, played varsity football, ran track and field, and was a member of a nonprofit organization called Men of Vision. Through these roles, he developed strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Over time, Sammy discovered a passion for community involvement and giving back to others.
Currently, Sammy is a sophomore at the University of Rochester, majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) with a potential minor in Sustainability and pursuing a certificate in Community Engagement. He aspires to become a politician and work in education policy. Beyond academics, Sammy is very involved on campus. He is a member of the varsity football team, a Program Assistant at the Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center, Secretary of The Douglas Leadership House (DLH), Secretary of the 2027 Class Council, Secretary of the Minority Student Advisory Board (MSAB), and the Community Outreach Chair of the Black Student Athlete Coalition (BSAC).
In his free time, Sammy enjoys reading comics, watching scary movies and football games, kayaking, and exploring new places with friends.
Sammy plans to use his education to give back to the community that has given so much to him. He will start a nonprofit organization called Progressive Prodigies, which will mentor 6th–12th graders in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. He is currently seeking a team to help bring this vision to life.
