Natasha Wanjiru graduated from Episcopal High School of Alexandria, Virginia in 2020.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Natasha moved to the United States at fifteen to attend Episcopal High School in Virginia on a full scholarship. At EHS, she developed a passion for social justice and an interest in working with children and youth. Natasha worked as a tutor and mentor with the Emerging Scholars program at school and during her summers back in Nairobi with her alma mater. During her time at Episcopal, she was on the Girls JV soccer team, captained the Girls Varsity softball team, and participated in the theatre program. She also took on leadership roles, including being a Senior Monitor, and part of the Vestry Program, and the Young Alumni Leadership Program.
After completing high school in 2020, Natasha joined Sewanee: University of the South for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated with a BA in International and Global Studies.
Natasha is passionate about global social justice issues and fostering connections among people from different backgrounds and cultures. She continues to seek a future where her education and career paths nurture these passions and allow her to grow into a global citizen. In her free time, Natasha enjoys reading, cooking, and learning new crafts.
